Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress and television presenter. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, which included the leading role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. Other roles she has held include being juror at each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
